SEGA Renews Trademark for Virtua Fighter
Could a new Virtua Fighter be on the horizon?
News by Adam Siddiqui on Aug 15, 2016
SEGA has renewed their trademark for Virtua Fighter, but don't get your hopes up for a sequel.

Released back in 1993 Virtua Fighter and is often considered to be the grandfather of 3D fighter games. The last entry, Virtua Fighter 5 released in NA on February 20th, 2007 for the PS3 and was largely considered one of the deepest combat experiences made.
Now this doesn't mean a new game is on the way, companies renew trademarks frequently to prevent business competitors from seizing the trademark.
