Split/Second Date Announced

Disney Interactive Studios has announced that Split/Second, a new action-heavy racing game developed by Black Rock Studios, will be released on May 18 in North America and May 21 in Europe.

The concept is that you’re part of a reality TV show, and instead of your ‘Average Joe’ racer that requires you to race to the finish line, you’re triggering events as you go that have some explosive results. This allows the player to open new shortcuts up, and hinder the opposition.

The game will be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Windows PC. The RRP is $59.99 or £49.99 for the 360 and $49.99 or £49.99 for PS3 and PC.
