Paradox Interactive has announced that Stellaris: Megacorp, the sci-fi grand strategy title's third expansion, is on its way. The expansion will have economy as its main focus, allowing players to "become the CEO of a powerful corporate empire to expand operations across the stars.". It will introduce a set of new Megacorp-specific civics, Ascension perks, alongside new Megastructures, such as the Mega-Art Installation. That's a lot of "megas" right there.

The Ecumenopolis feature will allow players to "increase the population density of core worlds to truly epic proportions, eventually creating a planet-spanning megacity.". With Megacorp, Caravaneers who "always have a bargain up their sleeve" will begin to roam the universe. Oh, and know all those pops you hate more or less intensely? The brand new Galactic Slave Market will let you sell them there and replace them with better slaves, if you're so inclined. There's no release date currently, but you can pre-order Stellaris: Megacorp over on Paradox Plaza. In case you missed it, Stellaris: Console Edition was also announced back in August.
