As long as there are leaks about big games, the most recent one about Capcom's horror series could be the biggest one yet. Reports indicate that Resident Evil Requiem is not only well underway in development, but it is also almost ready to release on Nintendo's highly anticipated Switch 2.
It would be the first time in the history of the Resident Evil series that people with Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox all played the same major game at the same time. This reported move indicates that Nintendo is making significant changes to its approach to third-party games.

For decades, Nintendo devices have been left out when big games come out at the same time. There is one more thing that has been stirring up. And this is a somewhat unusual story, but I think it's a very good one given the situation. In this case, the Switch 2 version of Resident Evil Requiem is offered on Amazon UK for less than it costs on Xbox and PlayStation 5.
Why Resident Evil Requiem costs so less for the Nintendo Switch 2?
The price is £60, while the other two systems cost £70. That probably means the Switch 2 version will only be a game key card, which I guess is kind of what we've come to expect at this point. Almost every third-party game is a game key card, you know?
It's also true that key cards haven't been selling very well, at least not so far. All of this could mean one of two things if it all turns out to be true, and this is the final price for each version. Capcom may have priced the Switch 2 version lower because it doesn't have as good graphics as the other choices. Capcom has done similar things with PS4 games and PS5 games in the past.
So, that's one possible reason. The other reason they're lowering the price of the Switch 2 version is that it is, after all, a game key card, and they want it to do better. To be honest, it's hard to tell if that's what they're doing here. But I want to know what you all would think if game key cards made brand-new games cheaper.
Would that change your mind about them at all? I'm going to say no because I still want a real game. I would be more likely to buy it for the Switch 2 if it came out in actual form for $70 instead of a $60 game key card. That's just my opinion, though.
