The Sims 4, a game that has been around for years, has recently been getting a lot of hate online, mainly for the patch updates that have made the game much worse, but EA has listened, and they have given us a new patch update.

You can now get the long-awaited Enchanted by Nature expansion pack for The Sims 4. It comes with a brand-new patch for PC, Mac, and console users. But even though EA is heavily promoting this update on Instagram, Discord, and other platforms, many longtime players are upset, especially about what hasn't been fixed.

The Sims 4's latest patch includes a number of quality-of-life improvements, such as the long-requested ability to drag spoiled items from inventories to the trash or sinks, a fix for the "Sharing is Caring" whiteboard placement bug, and the end of those annoying gnomes that would keep moving around after being placed.

Also, garden plants placed from the Gallery will now keep their names and information, which is good news for gamers who like plants. And for people who love customizing their Sims—whether they are human, fairy, or four-legged—EA has fixed a bug that caused custom paintings to disappear when Sims switched households. This bug affected all Sims, including dogs, cats, horses, werewolves, and fairies.

But these changes aren't enough for a lot of people.

Biggest problem in the Sims world? The ongoing problem with corruption in the For Rent save. This serious bug has been reported for months and has caused many game files to become corrupt, but nothing has been done to fix it. Simmer's anger is growing, especially since EA is releasing new DLC while problems from previous expansions are still being fixed.

Other problems that haven't been fixed are the long-running pregnancy bug and the annoying bug that makes Sims miss work or school when someone else in the house goes on vacation. There were some small improvements to stability for console players, but nothing that changed the game.

The Sims 4 Seasons players have a small win: seed packets given by gnomes can now be added to Sims' inventories correctly. It's not much, but it's something. Many people in the community still hoped for more. There was a chance to restore some faith by fixing the game's most annoying bugs while it was still new and exciting. It feels more like a tune-up than a full repair, though.
