The Surge: A Walk in the Park Expansion Gets a Release Date

Last month Deck13 and Focus Home Interactive announced that their Dark Souls-like game, The Surge, would be getting a new expansion called A Walk in the Park. Today they announced a release date and uploaded a brand new trailer.

The Surge: A Walk in the Park will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on December 5 and will be included in the game's complete edition. Set in a new amusement park called CREO World everything has gone wrong. In this new environment, players can expect to find advanced rogue AI, insane exoskeleton workers, and a number of other deadly machines, but for the first time, there will be a more colorful and open space for you to explore. Just ignore all the bodies.

The Surge launched earlier this year on May 16th. Taking place in a dystopian future where mankind has exhausted a large number of the world's resources, leading to a grim destiny where technology and humanity have become an environmental disease. Designed with challenging role-playing gameplay players use their exoskeleton, which can be customized, to survive the hostile remains of the CREO facilities that include insane workers and deadly machines.

The Surge is now available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
