The World Ends With You Gets An Anime Adaptation

Square Enix recently announced that they will be revealing more information at the Anime Expo Lite 2020 on July 3. You can check out Square Enix's teaser website they launched for the countdown! Fans are happy about the news as they’ve been wanting the franchise to expand to other media but it wasn’t surprising at all.

 

A rumor circulating an anime adaptation has been around ever since the early months of 2020. This is due to Anime Expo sharing it’s program that had the cast of The World Ends With You in it. Seeing this, the fans immediately pieced together information and correctly guessed that an anime adaptation is coming.

The World Ends With You is a cult classic action RPG from Square Enix that first released for the Nintendo DS on July 2007. It has since been released on the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.
