THQ Announces New Games For Fall

Hey kids, how are you all enjoying Comic-con San Diego? You probably know already, but there’s more to that convention than, well, comics in book form. There are also video games and THQ has just announced a few. You know THQ, right? It’s those guys that are bringing sex toy weapons to the game market in Saint’s Row Third.

Well, not all games they own are as brutal as that or Homefront; sometimes you have to market the other side of gamers. That’s why one of 2 games announced is called Monster High: Ghoul Spirit. That’s almost a pun, hilarity everywhere! Don’t be fooled by the name though, the press sheet says it markets towards preteen girls and the screenshots and trailer confirm this. It’s like a ‘scary’ version of Bratz, which is still about as scary as My Little Pony. In any case, the social high school game is out October 2011 for all your little sisters or perhaps kids…or you, if you’re weird.

The second game announced is completely different. Just kidding, it’s a new game from the Madagascar franchise. The Penguins of Madagascar: Dr. Blowhole Returns Again (yeah) is a cutesy action game with all the quirky adventure of the flightless birds, which have their own spin-off. It’s an epic battle between penguins and dolphins, so slaughter is a certainty if I know my Animal Planet. Too bad it wasn’t shark week. This game is out September 11 13, 2011 on Wii, DS and Xbox 360.
