HYPERSTRANGE and Paranoid Interactive have confirmed the Frozenheim release date with a new trailer. Frozenheim was released into Steam Early Access a year ago, and almost immediately after its release, strategy lovers were intrigued with the tranquil and magnificent Norse city builder. The developer is working hard to get everything ready for the official release on June 16, and the last Early Access update went up on Steam today.
Frozenheim, the first game released by Paranoid Interactive, had a great deal of success among Steam users during the year that it was available in Early Access. The game went from being a simple endeavor involving just three individuals to a full-fledged, multi-faceted epic that eventually sold approximately 200,000 copies. Following the debut of Early Access for the game under the independent publishing label Hyperstrange, the size of the development team increased by a factor of four so that they could fulfill the requirements of the game's rapidly expanding audience.
The addition of a third narrative campaign comes with the eighth and final Early Access update, which brings the game up to version 0.9. The storyline of these four missions centers on Thorstein, the savior of the Bear Clan. It contributes to sixteen different scenarios playable throughout the game. The much-anticipated matchmaking function has finally been added to the game's multiplayer mode, while siege weaponry has been introduced to the combat zones in the north region.
The complete version 1.0 of the game is scheduled to be released on June 16, which is Thor's Day. This release will not only bring about the last touches to the game's graphics and gameplay, but it will also debut the fourth narrative campaign and put an end to the whole Frozenheim legend. Before the complete launch of the game, the price will go up to $19.99 (16.99 €), although gamers may anticipate a release-week discount on Steam, GOG, and the Humble Store.
