White Knight Chronicles Gets NA Release Date
News by David on Dec 05, 2009
It was announced back in Tokyo Game Show 2006, and JRPG fans were expecting it to be released to the Western regions. But Sony and developer Level-5 turned skeptical in deciding to do so or not. The armor-clad action role-playing game, White Knight Chronicles was released in Japan last Holiday, but afterwards, Level-5 was not feeling a North American / European release. Hope seemed to dwindle for fans even more when the sequel to the game was announced recently this year. However, things are now starting to become hopeful for those Japanese-loving Westerners.
This week, Sony has announced the game's release date, stating White Knight Chronicles: International Edition will hit North American store shelves on February 2, 2010. In Sony's recent Playstation 3 Blog, White Knight Chronicles: International Edition will be a fully localized version of this action role-playing game, along with 50 additional online, disc-based missions, in which you can play through by yourself or cooperatively. Some extras also include some live talk from the main characters of the game, as well as Voice Chat support.
If you are familiar with Dark Cloud 2, then you would know about the Georama system. The Georama system is basically a game play mechanic in which you can build your own village. Players can build their own villages online to invite friends, purchase and exchange items, and do online quests together. Sony has also stated there will be more surprises during the game's launch next year, but fans are happy enough they will get to finally see White Knight Chronicles make its way to North American shores.
