Wii 2 by 2011

Yoichi Wada, chief executive of Square Enix, the company famous for making the Final Fantasy series of games; claims that we may all see a Nintendo Wii 2 in two years time.

These claims come from a recent interview he did with the Financial Times, in which he states the console will have more functionality than Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Sony’s PlayStation 3 - perhaps with hard-drive and Blu-ray compatibility.

He doesn’t stop there either, he believes with this a new controller could be launched to make sure they’re one step ahead of their competitors, who now have motion-sensor controllers of their own.
