Yakuza 4 gets a 2011 release for North America & Europe

Fans of the Yakuza franchise were ecstatic when Yakuza 3 was finally given the green light for North America last year. However, some cried foul that publisher Sega said that a huge amount of content was cut for the Western version. Now that Yakuza 4 is now confirmed to be headed outside Japan, fans of the series will have something to look forward to in Spring of 2011. Sega has also stated Yakuza 4 will remain a Playstation 3-exclusive.

 

Yakuza 4 will once again star Kazuma Kiryu, the iconic protagonist of this popular Japanese brawler. Not only that, he will be joined by three other main characters that will have their own “engaging backstory and a gripping interwoven plot,” as stated in the Sega Europe Blog.

 

The blog also states that Yakuza 4’s NA release announcement isn’t the only good news. Fans (that means you) will also gain the opportunity to grill Yakuza producer, Toshihiro Nagoshi with a bevy of questions, in which he will answer some of them after this year’s E3 is over.
