King of Blood operates through summoning mechanics and devil production. This king relies on building altar infrastructure while maintaining a balance between unit production and timing. Your success depends on proper altar management and avoiding premature devil deployment.

Required Perks
You need Summoner x4, Cultist x2, and Pagan x1. These perks form the foundation of your summoning strategy. Do not make your base or regular troops too strong, as this interferes with your build timing.

Strategy Execution
Roll for any king except Stone or Nature. Nothing provides the best matchup for this strategy. Set your base in the backline or middle position to avoid interference with your unit placement.
Place 2 Graveyards between 2 squads of Imps. This formation creates the core of your summoning engine. You can fill additional slots with Farms or more Graveyards, with Farms being the preferred choice.
Focus on altar upgrades, but avoid upgrading too early. Upgrade your altar to level 2 during years 10-15, then to level 3 during years 15-20. Early upgrades cause your devil to defeat enemies too quickly, disrupting your long-term strategy.

Augment Selection
Choose augments that double altar stats or provide 50% summon stats. Save your gold for augment rolls rather than spending on unnecessary rerolls until your second augment. During rainbow rounds, select Razing or Echo for late-game altar enhancement.

Loot Priorities
Target Nothing for Farm and Wildcard cards. Progress provides Overhaul opportunities. Greed offers Over-invest options. Rainbow rounds should focus on Echo for altar enhancement or Razing to utilize unused slots.
Alliance Management
You do not require specific allies, though Progress works well by eliminating excess imps. Nothing serves as a reliable friend throughout the game. Avoid Stone unless you can initiate warfare when sufficiently strong. Never ally with Nature, as they target your devils directly.

Tips for Success
You do not need Graveyard in your starting hand. Acquire it before year 5. The three devils you produce will overwhelm opponents when properly timed. Manual base control can provide slight advantages during critical moments.
