Assassin's Creed Mirage Guide | How to Unlock All the Gear Chests in Abbasiyah

Assassin's Creed Mirage offers you 30 different gear chests spread across the five localities in Baghdad, but we will discuss the six in Abbasiyah for this guide.

You can unlock Gear Chests to get new weapons, outfits, or Upgrade Schematics. There's an environmental puzzle element you have to get the hang of.

Solving these puzzles can lead you to your chests, the first of which will contain your base outfit or weapon and can be upgraded later by maxing out your Upgrade Schematics, which can also be found in these gear chests, depending on the order you open them in. 

All of these gear chests can be unlocked after story completion, too, but the upgrades do help you finish it quicker. 

Gear Chest 1: Zanj Uprising Dagger or Upgrade Schematic

This chest is the first one we unlocked, but you may unlock a different one; as aforementioned, the first one will get you your base Zanj Uprising Dagger. This chest is located inside a locked building in the Four Markets area. 

Your first course of action is to pickpocket a key from a guy standing in the northeast sector of the Four Markets Area, who's in the upper level of a building. 

For your next task, you return to the building that the chest is situated in and use the key to unlock the front door, which leads to a room with an explosive keg in it. 

Throw the keg at the walls of a locked building that has destructible walls. After breaking down the wall, you will find a destructible ceiling. Grab another explosive keg from the room you found the first one in. Throw it at the ceiling. 

Then you will come across a shelf that you will push from the right to the center of the room, and you should be able to climb upstairs to unlock the chest. 

Gear Chest 2: Zanj Uprising Dagger or Upgrade Schematic

This one you can find in a locked room within the Hammam. Make your way to the northwest side, outside of the Hammam, and break the window, which you can break using a melee attack or a Throwing Knife. 

Then get inside and destroy the vases that come in between the movable shelf, then move the shelf to get the exit. 

Then pick up an explosive keg from that room you just got into and carry it towards the southwest of the building, and you will find a destructible wall, which you need to throw the explosive keg at, and your chest will be in front of you. 

Gear Chest 3: Zanj Uprising Dagger or Upgrade Schematic

This can be found inside a locked tower on the roof of The Great Bimaristan. The door is locked. But we are here to help you unlock it to inch closer to ticking off all the Gear Chests in Assassin's Creed Mirage.

Go to the opposite end of the tower you are in. Then climb the railing to throw a Throwing Knife through an open window to break the door lock. 

Once the door is open, move the shelf, and the chest should be in front of you.

Gear Chest 4: Abbasid Knight Sword or Upgrade Schematic

Inside a locked building in Scholar's Estate, you will find this chest to fully upgrade your Zanj Uprising Dagger. The chest is locked and requires the Scholar's Estate Key to unlock it. 

You will head to a building in the southeast of the Scholar's Estate. Enter through the back door, and you will find the key there. 

Now go back to the building where the chest is, and you should find a destructible window after climbing up a little, and throw a dagger at it to break it. 

Climb, and there should be two shelves in front of the chest, and you will have to pull the shelf, which will reveal the chest, and you can then unlock it with the key you got earlier. 

Gear Chest 5: Abbasid Knight Sword or Upgrade Schematic

The tower on the rooftop of the House of Wisdom is where this chest is located. You need a key to unlock the locked door.

You will find an NPC on the roof of the House of Wisdom, from whom you need to pickpocket the key. 

Once you have grabbed the key, head on over to the upper floor, and you will see a destructible ceiling. To overcome this, you use a Throwing Knife after climbing up from the other end of the tower. Once you hit a chandelier swinging from the ceiling, you can access the Gear Chest after heading back to the room. 

Gear Chest 6: Abbasid Knight Sword or Upgrade Schematic 

This gear chest doesn't need any extra parkour to unlock. Simply get to the Scryptorium area, and you should find it in the upper level of a building in the southeast.
