Borderlands 4 Guide | How to Get Swarm Grenade

Here's how you can get your hands on the legendary Swarm Grenade.

The legendary Swarm Grenade, known for its homing ability, can be farmed by taking on the boss, Sidney Pointylegs, in Fadefields, specifically at one of the Ripper Drill Sites.

To reach the Drill Site, you want to unlock the Shut-Eye Keep Safehouse so that you can easily quick-travel from there.

The drill site access is a mini slaughter dome. Once the Encore Machine is activated, a wave of enemies will spawn, and once you clear the mobs, the boss Sidney Pointylegs will appear to take you on.

Sidney resembles a spider and has multiple phases. During the fight, its head made an attack, and it does a leg-based attack. Defeating Sidney has a chance of dropping the Swarm Grenade, although it is not always guaranteed.

You want to repeat the sequence to get your desired pistol, hence unlocking the Shut-Eye Keep Safehouse nearby.

The grenade is made by Order, and it automatically homes in on nearby enemies. But the thing about the swarm is that its stats can vary with its traits. Some traits will have at spawn three additional grenades, whereas others will increase their explosion radius.

By default, when it's thrown, the swarm grenade splits into three smaller grenades, and each of those can split again, making it feel like a true swarm coming in clutch whenever there are groups of enemies.

The individual explosions don't tend to do overpowering damage; the grenade's strength lies in its ability to hit multiple enemies at once, clearing groups quickly with little effort, and its easy-to-use nature.
