Ancient Relics serve as one of the most valuable resources you can collect across the sea in Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown DLC.
Scavenge Shipwrecks with Underwater Detection
While sailing your ship, toggle on the Underwater Detection ability to scan the ocean floor. The scan sends out sonar pings to alert you to nearby salvage opportunities.
White pulses mean the scanner is actively searching and that it has detected no targets. Yellow pulses mean you’ve got wreckage or lootable objects in range. Finally, a blue circle pinpoints the exact dive location on the seabed.

Once you spot the blue ring, dive into the water, swim down into the hull of the shipwreck, and open any submerged chests.
Keep in mind that Ancient Relics function as a direct currency rather than inventory items. When you loot them from a chest, they will not take up bag space like standard gear.
Instead, they deposit directly into your currency counter displayed in the top-right corner of your screen alongside standard silver and copper in Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown DLC.
Get Ancient Relics from Shattered Fragments
You do not have to rely solely on underwater shipwrecks to build up your funds. You can also craft complete relics out of salvaged pieces found across the mainland.
Crafting at the Smithy
While exploring landmasses, opening ordinary chests can yield Shattered Ancient Relics. Additionally, some submerged ruins and minor shipwrecks contain smaller chests that your ship's sonar pulse will not flag. Searching these hidden nooks manually often rewards extra fragments.
Once you gather two Shattered Ancient Relics, take them to any Smithy. The blacksmith will fuse the pair together to forge a single complete Ancient Relic.
Relic Exchange on Auronui Island
Before you can spend your relics, you must progress the main campaign. Complete the questline titled A Wider World and liberate Auronui Island.
Once the territory is freed, head down toward the anchorage docks. You will find a Relic Exchange NPC waiting near the water in Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown DLC.
Talking to this merchant lets you spend your currency on valuable items like specialized blueprints for advanced equipment, rare cooking or alchemy recipes, and secret treasure maps that lead to hidden regional caches.

FAQ
Q. Why didn't an Ancient Relic appear in my bag after looting a chest?
A. Ancient Relics are classified as raw currency rather than standard inventory loot. Whenever you loot one, it automatically tallies into the currency counter located at the upper-right corner of your interface.
Q. What should I do if my Underwater Detection shows no yellow pulses?
A. The sonar scanner only triggers when you are within range of salvageable sites. Keep sailing through open waters or along coastal reefs until the white pulse turns yellow and highlights the blue dive marker.
