Dave the Diver Guide | All Weapons

In Dave the Diver, you have a lot of different ways to catch fish, from simple close-range tools to guns. This guide explains where to find all of the weapons, how to improve them, and how to use special tools.

Unlocking and Crafting Guns

There are eight primary guns in the game. You unlock them by collecting Blueprints found during dives in the Blue Hole. To obtain a Blueprint, you must bring a weapon back with you after a dive. Once you collect the required number of Blueprints—either two or three depending on the weapon—you can craft it with Duff.

The list of guns is as follows: the Basic Underwater Rifle, which is unlocked automatically; the Triple Axel, requiring two blueprints; the Red Sniper Rifle, requiring three blueprints; the Grenade Launcher, requiring three blueprints; the Sticky Bomb Gun, requiring three blueprints; the Small Net Gun, requiring three blueprints; the Hush Dart, requiring two blueprints; and the Ice Gun, requiring three blueprints.

Understanding Weapon Upgrades

With Duff, you can make your weapons better by adding chemical effects and raising their power. There is a list of possible improvements for each base weapon. For instance, the Basic Underwater Rifle can be improved to Underwater Rifle II, then to Underwater Rifle III, and finally to the Death Rifle. This weapon has other branches, such as the Flame, Lightning, Poison, and Shock Rifle lines, as well as the Tranquilizer Rifle.

Other weapons follow similar patterns. The Triple Axel can become the Quattro Axel or gain elemental variants. The Red Sniper Rifle can upgrade to the Death Sniper Rifle or elemental sniper rifles. The Grenade Launcher has branches like the Tranquilizer Gas Bomb Launcher, Poison Launcher, Gravity Launcher, and Flash Grenade Launcher. 

The Net Gun upgrades to the Medium Net Gun, Large Net Gun, and Steel Net Gun. The Hush Dart can become the Enhanced Hush Dart and later the Modified Hush Dart. 

The Ice Gun upgrades to the Enhanced Ice Gun and Ultra Ice Gun. The Sticky Bomb Gun has multiple branches including the Sticky Mine Launcher, Sticky Tranquilizing Bomb Gun, and various elemental mine launchers.

Finding Mjolnir

Mjolnir is the rarest weapon, classified as a melee weapon you can only find in the Glacial Area. It is a completely random drop and you will lose it after the dive on which you find it. To locate it, you must visit the Glacial Area frequently.

It can be found inside a blue ice crystal within the first Glacial Cave. You must break this crystal using either a Pickaxe or your enhanced knife. After obtaining it, you should catch at least one fish with Mjolnir to unlock a related achievement.
