DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined Guide | Best Hero and Champion Vocation Build
A simple, high-damage setup that turns your main character into a triple-hit finisher with quick buff timing.

In Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, smart vocation synergy is rewarded. The Hero and Champion pairing is one of the best ways to deal a lot of damage with reliable setups.
This guide tells you exactly what gear, heart pick, and skill flow you need to make the build work. After a few turns of setup, expect a burst that can quickly lower an enemy's HP to yellow.
Build Focus: Damage Burst for Heroes and Champions
This setup is based on having one attack skill hit more than once when the right limit break, or Wok-Up, is active. You stack buffs, choose the Champion option, and then attack at the right time. The heart choice is important because crits matter here.
Best Weapon for This Stage
Put on the Miracle Sword. At this point in the game, it is the best weapon you can get. To get the Miracle Sword, you need to collect 55 Mini Medals.

Setting up Monster Heart and Accessories
The Hammerhood Heart is the monster heart. It has a 10% chance to crit, and that extra crit chance makes this build a lot better. Put on the Mighty Armlet to get 20 more strength. If you want to make this build, give the main character Seed of Strength to make their strength even higher.

The Key Wok-Up: Moonlight the Champion
The Champion Wok-Up called Moonlight is the most important spike. Moonlight makes two copies of you. The next attack will hit three times for sure, and it works well with extra damage support like Manpower.

Combat Flow for a Lot of Damage
The burst doesn't happen right away in party fights. While buffs are being set up, have the main character attack normally on the first turn. The setup usually takes a few turns, so don't rush it. Use The Time Is Now to help with the timing and damage plan during this time.
When buffs are ready, click Let Loose and then click Divide. Choose Swords Dance after Divide. The main skill for this build is Swords Dance, which makes the most of the triple-hit window.

The setup is based on that yellow HP drop. The damage shows up exactly where it should if the buffs are on and the sequence is clean.
