End of Abyss Guide | How to Unlock the Security System

In End of Abyss, you need to unlock the security system to be able to get into restricted rooms in the reactor. During the Reactor Core objective, you’ll come across a few doors that have a security lock message. “You can’t go right through these doors. Instead, you need to get to a control terminal on Basement Level 3 (B3) and disable the restrictions.

Progress through Factory East and the Ventilation Tunnels until you reach the Reactor. After attempting to activate the Reactor Core, you will need to restore power by activating three Power Cells.

Two power cells are available via the surrounding reactor pathways, but another is behind the security system. Its controls are only accessible from Basement Level 3.

Reach Basement Level 3

From the reactor area, take the elevator to the lower level where the power cells are. Follow the corridors around until you find another elevator going down to B3.

Take this elevator and continue along the basement route. From the elevator, head right and pass through the upper-right doorway. Follow the connected rooms and corridors while dealing with enemies until you reach a large, dark room.

Defeat the Enemies and Find the Ventilation Grate

Inside the dark room, you will encounter a wave of approximately six or seven enemies. Eliminate them while maintaining enough distance to avoid being surrounded.

Once the enemies are defeated, approach the nearby security door. You will notice that it remains locked, preventing you from entering the control room directly.

Return toward the previous room and locate the ventilation grate. Initially, this passage is closed. However, an enemy will break through the grate and attack you.

Defeat the enemy, then enter the newly opened ventilation passage. Follow the vent beneath the locked door to reach the opposite side.

Access the Security Door Controls

After passing through the ventilation system, exit into the room behind the locked security door.

Locate the computer terminal and interact with it. The terminal contains the "Security Door Controls" option, which allows you to unlock the restricted security doors.

Activate the controls to remove the security restrictions throughout this section of the Reactor.

Return to the Previously Locked Areas

Once the controls are activated, the previously inaccessible security doors will open.

You can now return through the unlocked doorway and explore the restricted reactor rooms, including the area containing the remaining power cell.

Be prepared before activating that Power Cell, as doing so triggers the Centipede Husk boss encounter.

Reaching the Security Door Controls terminal through the ventilation passage on Basement Level 3 unlocks the restricted Security Doors and allows you to continue restoring the Reactor Core.
