In Gotham Knights, you rely on information gathered from street-level criminals to move your investigation forward.

This guide explains how to handle interrogations once you gain access to the mechanic and how to identify, apprehend, and question informants during patrols in Gotham City.

Unlocking Interrogations

Once you complete your first Patrol as the character you chose at the start of the game, you can start to interrogate your enemies.

Not every criminal you encounter can be questioned. You scan groups by holding X on PC or pressing Down on the D-Pad with a controller in Gotham Knights.

This highlights enemies and marks any potential informant. An informant carries an icon shaped like an inverted triangle with a question mark inside. Once you recognize the correct target, you adjust your approach to secure the interrogation.

Preparing the Target

After spotting the informant, you either move in quietly or weaken them during a fight. You must be close to initiate a grab. On PlayStation, press R2; on Xbox, press RT; on PC, hold Tab. Once the grab is secure, you start the interrogation by pressing Triangle, Y, or Q, depending on your platform.

Stealth helps you secure an informant before they take too much damage. You can also capture a stunned, grounded criminal or one low on health in Gotham Knights.

Stealth is more challenging to use in groups, so direct fighting can be used when necessary. During a fight, you keep an eye on your hits so you don't knock out the informant before you have a chance to ask them questions.

Character Differences

Some characters handle stealth more easily. Robin and Batgirl have skills in their trees that support silent approaches and controlled encounters. Nightwing and Red Hood focus more on direct engagements, but they can still secure an interrogation with careful timing and positioning.
