This guide will show you how to defeat Chronos efficiently. This fight has two phases, and while he utilizes numerous abilities, most can be out-ranged. The focus here is on positioning, dodging, and managing his attacks while maintaining consistent damage.

Phase One

During the first phase, Chronos uses several abilities. The Cleaving Scythe Sweep covers a wide area but can be outranged. He also uses a long-range charge attack unless you're in your Binding Circle. At 75%, 50%, and 25% health, he spawns enemies and Lightning Orbs in Hades II.

When this happens, move to the opposite side of the arena, quickly deal with the ads, and create space. He may try to pull you in for high damage, so keeping distance is crucial. Chronos also has a circular projectile attack that is complex to dodge due to its long range.

The primary strategy is to stay at maximum range, outranging nearly all his attacks. When Ads spawn, create distance and eliminate them fast to prevent additional projectiles that complicate dodging in Hades II.

Phase Two

Phase Two begins when Chronos hits 0% health: he then fully heals, resets in a new arena, and gains new abilities. Maintain max range and use Spell Cost. He retains Phase One moves like Cleaving Scythe Sweep, Charge attack, and Lightning Orbs. At 50%, he spawns ads again.

Chronos now uses three time-based abilities: a moving hour hand, ice-like time spheres, and a glowing clock number to reach quickly. These are arena-wide but telegraphed, as Chronos usually pauses while casting in Hades II.

When Ads spawn, dodge along the arena edge, focus on Chronos, and keep a Binding Circle to prevent charges. Avoid over-targeting Ads to stay safe from Chronos’s charge. Kite ads and occasionally fight a few with the Binding Circle, but always remain distant from the boss.

Build

The build you should use for this fight is straightforward, utilizing Apollo, Zeus, and Hera. Focus on skills that enhance your Binding Circle and provide infinite Mana. Duo Skills are helpful but not required for this kill in Hades II.

You also need a skill that allows you to cast your Binding Circle away from your position. Both Hestia and Zeus have abilities like this, so including Hestia in your composition ensures you do not miss this functionality in Hades II.
