This guide explains how to complete the Flexile Spines wish to obtain spine cores and unlock a new skill.

Locating the Enemies

You need to collect 25 spine cores. To find the enemies that drop them, go to the area shown in Hollow Knight: Silksong. There are two enemies in this location. The enemy at the bottom is the most efficient to farm.

Farming the Spine Cores

The enemies shoot out spikes that land in the ground. After the spikes land, you must hit them. When you hit a spike, it turns bright and shiny, and you collect one spine core.

You will see a counter in the bottom left corner of the screen update each time you collect one. Focus on attacking the enemy at the bottom of the area, as this is faster than the one higher up.

Efficient Farming Route

After you defeat the enemy, you need to reset the area to make it respawn. Do not run all the way to the left. Instead, exit the area to the right. There is a gap through which you can go through the wall.

This method is quicker and saves time. Re-enter the area to find the enemy has respawned. Repeat this process until you have collected 25 spine cores.

Completing the Wish

Once you have 25 spine cores, return to the quest giver to grant the wish and unlock the new skill. The skill is required to progress to the next stage of the game.
