Layers of Fear Guide | How To Unlock Both Musician's Story Endings

In the world of Layers Of Fear, you can discover the story of the Musician after finishing the main tale. This part of the journey is called The Final Note, and it follows her through the difficult final months of her life. 

There are two ways her story can end: Acceptance or Loneliness. You decide which path she takes by making choices at three main points during the game. To get the ending you want, you simply need to pick that side at least twice.

The Choice of the Bird

The first decision you face happens when you find a Dead Bird inside the house. After you pick it up, you have two options for where to put it. If you want the Acceptance ending, you should place the creature near the Open Window on your right. If you prefer the Loneliness ending, you must put it inside the Cage on your left.

Writing the Future

Later, you will find yourself in a Library where the Musician tries to write. You will see two empty spots on a table. If you look at them, a Violin will show up on the right and a Noose will show up on the left. To move toward the Acceptance ending, choose the Violin and the Clean Paper. If you want the Loneliness ending, pick the Noose and the Burnt Paper.

Clearing the Echoes

Near the end of this story, you will enter rooms that have two Echoes inside. You can use your light to destroy them, but you are only allowed to get rid of one in each room. On the walls, you will see a question asking which part of yourself you want to destroy.

This choice works differently than the others. You must destroy the side that you do not want. If your goal is the Acceptance ending, you must use your light to destroy the Loneliness Echo on the left. 

If you are trying to reach the Loneliness ending, you should destroy the Acceptance Echo on the right. There are three rooms like this, and whichever side you pick most will count as your choice for this part of the story.
