If you want an early Electric-type that stays useful for a long time, Pawmi is a great pick. It appears very early in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, so you can grab one near the start and build it into Pawmot with a simple evolution path. The key is knowing the early spawn area and the special step requirement for the final evolution.

Where To Find Pawmi Early

Pawmi is found in the first area of the game. If you take the right path toward the Titan route, you can spot even more of them along that stretch. A very early and reliable place is close to your house. Head up the Poco Path, then check the small ridge nearby. Pawmi has been seen spawning there more than once, so it is a strong early check when you are just starting out.

How To Evolve Pawmi Into Pawmo

To evolve Pawmi, simply raise it to level 20. Once it hits level 20, it evolves into Pawmo right away. This part is straightforward, so the main focus is on preparing for the final evolution.

How To Evolve Pawmo Into Pawmot

To evolve Pawmo into Pawmot, you must walk around with Pawmo in Let's Go mode. Use the Let's Go command so it runs around outside its Poké Ball and battles Pokémon for you.

You need to take 1,000 steps while Pawmo is out in this mode. After those steps are done, Pawmo must level up one more time, and it will evolve into Pawmot on that next level-up.

Fast Way To Finish The 1,000 Steps

A quick method is to keep Pawmo in Let's Go mode and run in circles for a few minutes. Because you move faster than Pawmo, circling can help rack up steps quickly.

The steps may feel like they count from your movement rather than Pawmo's movement, so staying active and moving constantly helps. After a short run, level Pawmo up once, and the evolution into Pawmot will trigger.
