The Last of Us Part II and Ghost of Tsushima Have Confirmed Release Dates

Sony confirmed the release dates for 2 of the biggest games releasing this year. The long-awaited and delayed The Last of Us Part II will release this June 19th and Ghost of Tsushima will release this July 17th.

As our teams at Sony Interactive Entertainment and Worldwide Studios approach development milestones and confront a world changed by COVID-19, we find ourselves having to adapt to today’s ever-changing environment. Amidst some disruptions to our working styles, we wanted to provide an update to PlayStation gamers who are eager to learn when our next exclusive titles will arrive to PlayStation 4.

As we begin to see an ease in the global distribution environment, I am pleased to confirm that The Last of Us Part II will arrive on June 19. And Ghost of Tsushima will follow on July 17. 

Ghost of Tsushima didn't have a release date and was expected to release this summer so now we have an exact date for Sucker Punch's next title. Which has been highly praised for its featured gameplay and cinematic trailers.

The Last of Us Part II has been delayed multiple times, first due to quality assurance and a second due to COVID-19 causing distribution problems. Recently, a major cutscene was leaked by apparently a Naughty Dog employee which translates to don't Google The Last of Us Part II.

The Last of Us: Part II will launch this June 19th and Ghost of Tsushima this July 17th for PS4.
