Final Fantasy VIII is the black sheep of the franchise for many. The leveling system is highly criticized and many weren't a fan of having less fantasy elements to the game, going for a more military focus. But the game is widely beloved and fans have been asking for a remastered version. It's happening and launching this year.
Final Fantasy VIII Remastered will launch for PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch this year.
