AltDevConf 2012 Is This Weekend

News by   on  Feb 07, 2012

AltDevBlogADay.com, a website known for blogs from video game insiders, will be hosting a virtual conference February 11-12th. Known as AltDevConf, the online conference will be free and community driven. Industry experts will focus on three distinct tracts of study during the conference: education, programming, and design and production. Want to know the best schools to go to? Learn from the education tract. If you want to learn more about lighting for video games or game physics then focus on the programming track. Anything that is not covered by these two tracts will probably be covered in the design and production portion.

AltDevConf will be going on this weekend, and will feature lessons from Tim Borelli, Lead Animator for Volition; Mike Acton, Engine Director for Insomniac Games; Colin Barré-Brisebois, Senior Graphics Programmer at Warner Brothers Games Montreal, and more. If you’re interested in getting into video game development, the AltDevConf is for you.
