Back To The Facebook...Future

Great Scott! This might be the cheapest, most effective way to hype a lot of things at once. Well, since using iconic references is pretty damn easy, that’s kind of redundant.

Issuing the upcoming episodic game, Back To The Future from Telltale Games, the developer has released its first little trinket regarding the series, based on the cult classics. In the form of a small Facebook application, Blitz Through Time is nothing more than a simple Bejeweled clone with added sound effects and references to the franchise. Line up gems to make them disappear and continue until you reach the designated 88 mph and you’ll see some serious...well, nothing really; that’s just the way to teleport to the next level.

Still, it’s only meant as a promotional tidbit for the 25th Anniversary of Back To The Future, so have a go and hear Michael J. Fox say: “Flux Capacitor…Fluxing.” Yours truly played a few games and crushed any spirit it had to offer; apparently they hadn’t heard of my epic Bejeweled skills.

You're tellingme you built the exact same game...ten years later?!

The main feature, Back To The Future: The Game, will be set within 5 episodes and feature all the cool things a fan could want, such as Marty McFly and Doc Brown (voiced by Christopher Lloyd). But it will also be set In Hill Valley, in 1985 and feature the famous DeLorean.

And I know it’s getting old, but I still expect to be a dinosaur flying on my hoverboard once we get to 2015 dammit! So, you scientists better get to stepping!
