Xbox Live is getting its final dose of Black Ops II DLC today, as the Call of Duty: Black Ops II Apocalypse DLC dropped in on Microsoft’s online store this morning.

The downloadable content includes four multiplayer maps for Black Ops II’s competitive circuit.

Cliffside structure Pod allows players to navigate multiple levels of the Taiwan compound, while icy canal city Frost keeps team battles at the focus with a bridge linking opposing territories.

The other two multiplayer maps, CQC-specialized launch site Takeoff and dusty archaeological labyrinth Dig, revisit old favorites from Call of Duty: Black Ops - First Strike and Call of Duty: World at War respectively.

If the competitive multiplayer mayhem isn’t your forte, Apocalypse also brings a new Zombies campaign in Origins. In the mode, players return to the roles of Tank, Nikolai, Takeo, and Richtofen (all from Call of Duty: World at War) in a World War I-era France, tearing apart the undead once more. The new Zombies Origins campaign also offers original Zombies art from illustrator Alex Ross and a soundtrack featuring a new song from rock band Avenged Sevenfold, “Shepherd of Fire,” from their album Hail to the King, which also released today.

The Black Ops II Apocalypse is available exclusively on Xbox Live for $14.99 (local currency now in place) and is available for download with the Season Pass for Black Ops II. Other platforms will receive the DLC in the coming months.
