Cookie Cutter was unveiled today by Rogue Games, a producer of games for the inevitable corporate dystopian future. It's a hand-drawn Metroidvania platformer with catchy visuals, highly tight and complex fighting mechanics, an epic-sized area to explore, a rich character upgrading system, rivers of blood, and a protagonist that is one badass.

Players are in charge of their destiny. Cherry comes to life when sophisticated technology and a human soul are brought together. Compared to the traditional video game heroine, Cherry is a refreshing change of pace. Punk music is her thing, and she's not happy about it. This insane sicko has abducted Cherry's creator and lover, the love of her life. Cherry vows to punish him, and everyone else in her path pays.

Fortunately, she's equipped with quick accuracy and tremendous powers. Her uppercuts are capable of shattering bones and roundhouses that are devastating. And her inventory holds monstrous weapons like Chainsaw slashes, deadly guitar slides, motorcycle smash charges, and even outrageous mecha kills.

'Cookie Cutter' is a Metroidvania that takes you on an odd, crazy, and entertaining trip. It has all of the genre's standard fare. The planet is enormous. Many dangerous foes and bosses. Twisted story. Rogue CEO Matt Casamassina described it as "freaking amazing"The heroine in this game violates video game clichés to the best of her ability, and this is a game that's aimed at older players.

Cookie Cutter packs a fast-paced action set in dynamic environments and a steady supply of bizarre enemies. With its ever-changing gaming mechanics and psychedelic storyline, the game will appeal to   Metroidvania fans and the fans of this genre. The game is set to release on Steam in 2023.
