Dreamfall Chapters developer Red Thread Games has broken the silence surrounding its upcoming project, Draugen, by releasing a new trailer. Since it was embarking on a Kickstarter campaign back in 2014, the title's vision seems to have been nudged in a slightly different direction. Originally said to be a first-person survival horror adventure, the game is now labeled as a "first-person Fjord Noir mystery set in 1920s Norway.".

Players will take control of Edward Charles Harden, an American looking for his missing sister in Norway. As the trailer also stresses, he is not alone, as his ward, Lissie follows him around. The two will be able to interact "through a realistic and dynamic dialogue system" as they explore a coastal community in rural Norway, looking to find Edward's sister and "unearth the darkness that lies beneath the picturesque surface.". The trailer introduces us to a handful of majestic sights, as well as Lissie. For comparison, you can check out the 2014 teaser trailer which has since been unlisted.

Draugen is set to release sometime in 2019 on PC, Xbox One and PS4. Its Steam page is live, should you want to wishlist and/or follow the project.
