EA’s are set to release a range of games specifically aimed at young girl gamers under their EA Play label. Charm Club Girls will make its debut on the Nintendo Wii, with the first release called Pajama Party. After that there will be a series of 3 games released for the Nintendo DS, called My Perfect Prom, My Fashion Mall and My Fashion Show respectively.

The games will be centred on completing various tasks and collecting charms in a world that is very much aimed at the fairer sex, bringing sassiness and fun to the target audience. "Charm Club Girls celebrates everything that's fun about being a girl," said Sarah Handley, senior director of marketing at EA Play. "Girls are gamers too and EA wants to provide them with games that are fun, fabulous and appeal to their interests."

The games will emphasise cool new characters, provide fun challenges for the gamer, allow for customization, and lots of collectibles spread over the various games and products.

The games are scheduled for release in autumn of this year.
