EarthBound and EarthBound Beginnings Coming to Switch Today

The Mother series, known as Earthbound in the west, is now available on Nintendo Switch Online.

Subscribers can download the acclaimed title that debuted back in 1989 and is often considered one of the best games of all time. Earthbound has been the only game US owners have been able to enjoy as only unofficial translations are available for the other games. The first game was such a rarity it would go for hundreds of dollars until Nintendo finally released the game on the Wii U Virtual Console and then SNES Classic, which was a nightmare to obtain.

Fans have been asking Nintendo for a Mother 3 for decades but Nintendo has yet to release it. My guess, is they have a break glass option just for a rainy day.
