The Kickstarter page for Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes went live this week and is already abuzz. The roleplaying game is meant as a successor to Konami’s Suikoden series and has already surpassed its $500,000 goal within a single day. The over 20,000 backers and other visitors flooded Kickstarter so quickly that developer Rabbit and Bear Studios announced that the Kickstarter page overloaded and became inaccessible multiple times. Kickstarter themselves is extending Eiyuden Chronicles campaign an extra 24 hours as compensation.

The developer update also detailed new characters unlocked by meeting stretch goals. This included Perrielle Grum, a quick witted noble woman, and Yuferius VII, a sharkman guard from an imperial desert nation. Rabbit and Bear also stated that the game would have support for the following languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. The game will also release on Steam and digital backers would be granted access to the beta build.
