Something interesting was revealed by Bandai Namco, a brand new asymmetrical multiplayer game similar to Evolve. With players taking control of iconic Dragon Ball villains in Dragon Ball: The Breakers.

Developed by DIMPS who worked on the Sonic Advance and Dragon Ball Xenoverse series 1 player takes control of a Raider in the form of a villain. Buu, Frieza, and Cell have been confirmed but only Cell was shown. Cell was shown slowly evolving as he hunts down other players who take control of civilians with Bulma and Olaf shown hiding from the Raider. Olaf able to use his ability to transform to hide and even using a rocket launcher. It seems the goal is to locate and use a time machine to get away but this could be unique to Cell. We also see Cell destroying an entire City but this was in CGI.
Bandai Namco confirmed customizable skins, large destructible maps, and unique powers such as vehicles, hooks, and weapons.
Dragon Ball: The Breakers is set for a 2022 release on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PS4, PS5, and Switch. A closed beta test will happen soon.
