The final chapter in the Five Nights at Freddy’s may be over but Warner Bros. is looking for writers to tackle the script for a movie adaptation.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Roy Lee, Seth Grahame-Smither, and David Katzenberg is in line to produce the project.
“We’re looking forward to working with Scott to make an insane, terrifying and weird adorable movie” Grahame-Smith said.
“The story really lends itself to being a movie and it taps into a largely unexplored niche of horror that a lot of people will be able to relate to” creator of Five Nights at Freddy’s Scott Cawthon stated.
Those who are unfamiliar with the franchise Five Nights at Freddy’s is a survival-horror game set in a Chuck E Chesse-like restaurant chain called Freddy Fasbear’s Pizza. The game is centered on surviving five nights while creepy animatronics attempt to kill you.
All three games in the franchise are available now on Steam for PC, with the first two games available on mobile platforms.
