Publisher Namco Bandai has released a patch for SoulCalibur II HD Online. You know a game is coveted as one of the best iterations, when its randomly selected within a decade-long franchise for an HD remake.
Through the update, fighters can now enjoy better matchmaking options. Filters are put into place to select regions like North America, South America, Europe, Asia or any. Don’t expect the latter example to select all regions, however, as it stands for locations outside of the aforementioned filters. Additionally, a rematch option is now available in Online Free Match mode. Settings will stay into place until the console is reset.
More impressively, the team was able to squash some bugs that were present in the original release of the HD remake. SoulCalibur II HD Online is a bump coming back from 2002. That’s a long time to fix something. Here’s the full list of all fixed bugs known from the classic version:
Cervantes crash bug from Arcade Version has been fixed - Cervantes A+K (Guard Impact)
Ivy 4A+B → B cannot be guard > Fixed
Maxi's 3B+K → B hits twice > Fixed
Voldo's "Mantis Fire Dance". Mantis Crawl => 66 is cancelled by pressing G while command is performed > Fixed
Kilik's K is hit, it can be cancelled by pressing G > Fixed
It’s time to adjust some of those strategies, fighter fans. SoulCalibur II HD Online is out now on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
