The team behind Lords of the Fallen announced via Twitter that the action RPG will be going mobile, coming to both Android and iOS platforms sometime in 2015. The game, released earlier this year by German developer Deck13 Interactive and co-produced with CI Games, received generally positive reviews from video game critics and moved over 700,000 units so far. The tweet, copied below, does not specify if Lords of the Fallen would be ported to the Android and iOS platforms, or if they would simply be a mobile offshoot.

Deck13 announced in November that a downloadable expansion pack was already in the works for the game, and executive producer for Lords of the Fallen, Tomasz Gop, said recently that he was already in the process of making plans with the team for a sequel.

This news adds to the trend of AAA games adding mobile playability to their console games. The applications of mobile play vary from simply monitoring in-game messages to entirely new gameplay, like Assassin’s Creed Identity. With smartphones’ processors improving and the demand for more portable gameplay rising, it’s no surprise that game companies, big and small, are looking into new and innovative gameplay that specifically caters to mobile platforms.

However, if you’re the type of person who would rather play Lords of the Fallen on your Xbox or PC, you can pick it up at GameStop for only $40 from now until December 23.
