Mario Kart Themed Chocobo GP Coming to Switch this 2022

Today Square Enix and Nintendo revealed they're combing Chocobo racing with Mario Kart. And no, it does not play as the infamous Final Fantasy 7 minigame.

Called Chocobo GP this racing title will include characters from Square Enix's various properties such as Shiroma and Vivi. Just like Mario Kart players will use various items to cheat their way to victory in a variety of courses.

The title looks alright but having it release only on the Switch is strange. The Switch already has Mario Kart and no other game has been able to even kneel against that heavy hitter. Releasing it on multiple platforms would've been more logical.

Chocobo GP launches in 2022 exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
