More on Vanillaware's Grand Knights History

Developer Vanillaware, creator of the 2007 RPG, Odin Sphere, as well as the strategy game GrimGrimoire, is currently working on a new project. Titled Grand Knights History, it will be released on Sony’s Playstation Portable. Marvelous will publish the game.

Grand Knights History’s premise is centered on three warring kingdoms: The ancient kingdom of Logres, the magic-based kingdom of Avalon, and Union, a kingdom of knights. These three kingdoms will fight each other for control over the land of Ristya. Players will be able to choose which kingdom to start in, and design your own character by picking gender, voice, physical attributes. According to Siliconera, picking a particular gender for your character might determine how they will grow or the equipment they receive.

The game is a turn-based role-playing game and will supposedly feature a network mode that will connect players with others both online and offline. Vanillaware hasn’t yet elaborated on the details on how that will work.

Joystiq reports the game is already 70 percent complete, and will launch in Japan this summer. Most of this information is known for days now, but screenshots for the game have just popped up. Check them out.
