Natal To Be 'Unique' Experience; Says Microsoft

Microsoft have revealed that they won't be fiddling with older games when it comes to incorporating Natal's motion sensing technology and instead will focus on creating a completely unique experience to the future project, which means new games. “What we want to do with Natal is bring entirely new original experiences to life,” Greenberg said. “These are going to be brand new original games and brand new entertainment experiences that never existed before. Because there’s nothing else like it, developers are going to be making brand new content for us.”

Greenberg made sure to state that Natal won't just be about gaming, but a new technology for an evolving lifestyle. According to Greenberg, Natal will be used for “lifestyle experiences, entertainment experiences and the ability to navigate the dashboard.” Naturally the instinctive gamer would question what this would all mean for the gaming experience and how much the broader scope of the project could detract from the over all 'gaming feel', Greenberg made a somewhat re-assuring comment; "I can't speak to what that means from a game development standpoint. As far as I'm aware, there's no real sacrifice."
