Recently, someone at Naughty Dog leaked sensitive footage of The Last of Us Part II. While Sony has been actively removing the footage snippets are still available, so don't Google the game. Neil Druckmann, vice president at Naughty Dog and director of The Last of Us Part II tweeted his feelings on the matter.
Heartbroken for the team. Heartbroken for our fans. We’re still incredibly excited to get the game into your hands. â¤ï¸ https://t.co/QWKLU6I6Q3

Druckmann stated he was "Heartbroken for the team. Heartbroken for our fans. We're still incredibly excited to get the game into your hands".
Naughty Dog has a history of crutch for their projects and reports state that The Last of Us Part II had their employees working. With investigator reporter Jason Schreier quoting an employee at Naughty Dog "“This can’t be something that’s continuing over and over for each game, because it is unsustainable,” said one developer on The Last of Us II. “At a certain point you realize, ‘I can’t keep doing this. I’m getting older. I can’t stay and work all night.’” It's likely that this employee was vexed at the company for the long hours and decided to leak the footage.
The Last of Us: Part II will launch this June 19th on the PS4.
