According to EA a new Battlefield game will launch in 2016, specifically during the holiday season. The publisher also noted that a new Titanfall “experience” was on the way, describing the progress as “fantastic”.

Star Wars Battlefront did surprising well despite mixed reviews, many criticizing the game’s lack of content. EA confirmed that 13 million units were shipped but didn’t give a breakdown of the sales.

More sales were made in the physical realm, with digital sales slowing down. $139 million in revenue was made from full-game downloads during the quarter, majority of them from Star Wars Battlefront. A reference to the “next” Battlefront experience was noted but not much information was given.

EA posted GAAP revenue of $1.07 billion for the quarter, ending the report on December 31, 2015, a decrease from the same quarter of 2014 by $1.126 billion.

Other highlights were the return of Need for Speed, with twice as many players, over 150 million hours of gameplay across Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline in Q3, and Madden NFL Mobile’s active player count rose 50% year-over-year in Q3.

EA’s forecast GAAP net revenue of $4.363 billion for the full financial year. It’ll end on March 31, 2016.
