New Tropico Gameplay Is A Disaster [UPDATE]
News by Daav Daavpuke on Jun 20, 2011
What would happen if a hurricane struck the island paradise of Tropico? That is the premise the newest trailer from this simulation strategy giant poses in its newest trailer. In it, Kalypso hopes to show off some new and exciting features such as disasters and a council of ministers to help the reality factor of annoying things.
If there’s one thing I enjoy when playing these builder games, it’s something completely out of my control meticulously destroying days of very coordinated work I put in. That’s why disasters are the best possible implementation to have! Do you, like me, rely on 1 single boat in Anno to get all the work done and do you enjoy pirates coming in and destroying everything? Yeah, that’s why I always play with no pirates as well.

Tropico and the most perfectly linear tsunami ever.
But in all seriousness, it is somewhat a necessary addition and some games implement them to create grand things, such as Civilization IV. Tropico is another builder sim which always worked out well and as such the August 30 release on Xbox 360 and PC is something fans can look forward to. Have a whole bunch of screenshots to go with that trailer. E3 always delivers.
