Persona Series Hits 15 Million Copies Sold Worldwide

For many, Persona 5 was the first game they played in the long-running series. Since its release, the franchise hit the mainstream with more gamers aware of its existence similar to what Monster Hunter World did for Capcom. Now the series as a whole has hit 15 million copies sold.

We can see the gamer's desire to play older versions of the game such as the re-release of Persona 4 Golden that hit 900K sales on PC since its release. Persona 5 Royal hit 1.8 million copies sold since debuting in 2019 in JP and 1.4 million copies since July 2020 when it released worldwide. The latest game in the franchise, Persona 5 Strikers, sold 1.3 million since its release in JP in February 2020.

With such popularity hopefully, we will see other games in the franchise re-release on modern systems.
