Pokemon Home is the latest transfer service offering Pokemon trading between the Switch versions of Pokemon games. Recently, the payment plan for the service was released and fans are not happy.

Those who want the premium option will need to pay $2.99 a month, $4.99 for 3 months, and $15.99 for 12 months. Which is a big step from the Pokemon Bank's $5 fee. The price isn't what players are really annoyed about, its the free option.

The free option, or basic, won't allow transfers between Pokemon Home and Pokemon Bank. Meaning any Pokemon game beyond the Switch games cannot be traded to the Switch versions without a premium plan.

For competitive players this service is necessary. As players take months developing the perfect Pokemon. That being said, if you want to remain competitive you're going to have to pay.
