Price cut for PlayStation Vita coming next year

If you're one of the many waiting on the eventual price drop for the PlayStation Vita, good news: next year is when the wait ends, according to an interview with Sony UK Boss Fergal Gara with Eurogamer.



"We always aim to establish price cuts," said Gara. "So the question is not so much if, but when. We won't have an across the board price down this Christmas. But what you will see us doing is work very hard with our retail partners to add value to the product to make it more compelling."

The exact amount and date of the cut is "still under discussion."

Previously, Shuhei Yoshida, head of Sony Worldwide Studios, said the Vita wouldn't receive a price drop in 2012.
