PS3 Error
News by Craig Bryan on Mar 01, 2010
Most PlayStation 3 users are currently tearing their hair out at what has to be one of the biggest widespread errors a console has ever faced. The 8001050F error code stops users connecting to the PlayStation Network as well as playing most offline games as well, which is pretty astonishing.
Almost all games simply won’t start; others start and then are forcibly closed – deleting your trophies in the process. While some allow you to play the game offline, but all online elements are missing.
Sony has addressed this issue and is currently narrowing down the problems, with a fix top of their priorities. This isn’t much consolation to the millions upon millions of people who have been caught up in this.
The problem seems to stem from the time and date messing up, something that seems to be happening more commonly with older consoles, and as a result of this games can’t search for any form of a licence for verification.
We will keep you updated on this as and when something changes.
