SEGA Releases Episode 2 of “Rise of the Wisps” Sonic Animated Web Short

Sonic Colors: Ultimate comes out in a few weeks and today SEGA released the second and final episode of the animated series Rise of the Wisp. After an incredible first episode the final episode closures the animated short on a high note.

In today’s climactic episode, temperatures rise as Sonic and the Jade Wisp clash with Dr. Eggman’s robotic henchman and the Blue Blur’s evil doppelganger, Metal Sonic. The duo must attempt to save the Wisps from Dr. Eggman’s clutches before he harnesses their power for his own diabolical plans. It’s a race against time as Sonic and Jade fight to thwart Dr. Eggman’s plans to take over the universe.

The second episode personally reminds me of an episode of Sonic Boom. Great humor, excellent animation, and it gets you hyped for Sonic Colors Ultimates. You can watch episode 1 right now as well. The complete series is available now here.

Sonic Colors: Ultimate, a remaster of the beloved 2010 Wii, Sonic Colors, coming both digitally and physically to PlayStation 4, Xbox One Consoles, and Nintendo Switch on September 7, 2021, with a digital-only release on PC via the Epic Games Store.
