Silent Hill Composer Teases an Exciting New Project

In a video interview that has now, for some reason, gone private, Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka said that a brand new project will be announced this summer.

According to GamesRadar, Yamaoka said in the interview that:

“I think it’s the one you’re kinda hoping to hear about"

While this could mean absolutely anything, it would be reasonable to infer that "the one" would refer to Silent Hill - the game propelled Yamaoka's musical talent.

While nothing has been confirmed yet, there has been building evidence to suggest a new Silent Hill title might be on the way.

There have been substantial rumors from last year suggesting that a Silent Hill entry may be coming to PS5, and that series creator Keiichiro Toyama has been brought back on board.

No official announcement has been released yet.

Akira Yamaoka most recently worked on The Medium which is available now for PC and Xbox Series X & S.
